Summer Ready: Garden Parties & Simply Vera by Vera Wang
Last Sunday I was invited to the Mayor’s LA Pride Garden Party, I freaked out mainly about what I was going to wear. I had never been to a garden party and in my mind, when you go to a garden party you’re supposed to look like Jackie Kennedy. I was starting to panic but luckily Kohl’s had just sent me a beautiful pair of summertime Simply Vera by Vera Wang wedges and a pair of over-sized toirtoise shell sunglasses. The wedges were perfect for a daytime look. The Simply Vera by Vera Wang line is classy and chic and fitting for a garden party at the Mayor’s Getty House.

Dress: Custom made to my measurements by Cassaundra’s Custom Boutique
Clutch: BCBGeneration
The Mayor’s garden party was full of celebrities, artist and politicians all out in full force to support LA Pride. I think I lost my mind ( I played it cool though) when Molly Ringwald walked right by me. Jake Ryan was not with her in case you were wondering.

Lance Bass told me I had beautiful skin. I can die now! He was my childhood crush & fave N’sync member. I know… let’s not get into that right now.

Sharing laughs with super sweet & talented pop singer Dario Benitez.
I had an amazing time, made new friends, met one of my childhood celebrity crushes and collected compliments on my shoes. If that’s not the right way to kick off summer I don’t know what is.
*Disclaimer: I received one or more products mentioned above courtesy of Kohl’s and Simply Vera by Vera Wang for editorial consideration.

I don’t think you should loose weight to go into modeling. I know some modeling agencies primarily sign size 12/14 models but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t people out there putting models that are size 24/28 in magazines. Like with most careers, there are different aspects to modeling if you want to be a fitting model or runway model than the job description requires you to be a certain size and height but like I said there are other modeling opportunities that you can look into that don’t require you to have to change yourself. Best of luck!!

Milani’s Website Launch Party
Last Thursday Milani Cosmetics celebrated the launch of their new website with an intimate but very rad party at Geisha Studio in Los Angeles. I of course was in attendance because let me tell you Milani throws awesome parties!
Milani’s new website and social media platform has lookbooks for make up inspiration, their favorite youtube tutorial videos and the site now allows you to shop for everything you need right there and then to complete your favorite looks.

My look for the night: I wanted my eyes and lips to pop with color so I kept everything else simple by just highlighting my face with bronzer and a touch of blush.

I used:
Milani Bronzer XL in ‘Bronze Glow’
Milani Baked Blush in ‘Rose D’Oro’
Milani Runway Lashes Mascara
Milani Liquid Like Eye Liner in ‘Aqua’
And my personal favorite Milani Lipstick in ‘Rose Hip’
Earrings by Nena Soul Fly …You’re Welcome.
There were also complimentary manis + nail art with Milani nailpolish by Miss Handly

I loved the decor at Geisha Studio! I kept taking mental notes for my future place.

I loved loved loved everything! I’m still in a celebratory mood and will be having a Milani giveaway SOON!! So keep checking back for that.
‘Till the next party xoxo
