Old Navy Zumba With Rocsi Diaz
I’ve been in and out of the gym since I was old enough to have a membership. I’ve tried all kinds of workouts and I’ll be honest Zumba wasn’t a workout I ever gave much thought to or bothered to try. I know it’s super popular, and I even have a cousin who is obsessed (she takes 2 classes a day sometimes), but still always passed on invitations to go myself. When Old Navy invited me to a Zumba class with a couple other Los Angeles bloggers hosted by Rocsi Diaz, I figured it was about time I gave in and tried it.
I was nervous because I really don’t ever take studio classes, the only other studio class I’ve done is Yoga. However, as soon as I walked in to class everyone was extremely friendly and having fun already. The gorgeous PR girl greeted me as soon as I walked in with a smile and an Old Navy Active outfit for the workout. The first thing I did when she gave me clothes was check the size. She had given me a pair of Large compression capris. I immediately thought OMG there is no way my butt is fitting in these. I shyly asked her for a bigger size because I know their workout gear goes up to a size 3X. She smiled at me and says “these pants strecth so much, trust me you’ll fit in a large”. I didn’t believe her but I tried anyway, and low and behold I was able to fit all of the booty in the pants. I’m still amazed at the fit, and they really have become my new favorite workout pants (my previous favorite pair were also Old Navy Active).
Alright, down to the verdict. Zumba class was fun. I wouldn’t do it as a serious workout, but I had tons of fun dancing with other awesome LA bloggers. Rocsi is just about the cutest thing ever, oh and she totally touched my booty. Yeah, that happened and it was awesome!
I’ve been a fan of Old Navy Active for some time now, more specifically their pants. Let me tell you their compression pants are the best out there for the price.They’re no more than $40, while other workout pants can cost up to $100 and ain’t nobody got money for that.
I used to hate going to the gym in regular tights because my booty would bounce when I was on the elyptical, and the treadmill, and just about the entire duration of my workout. So the compression pants give me tons of support, they’re the equivalent of the sports bra for big booty girls. They changed my life.

2013 Oscar Red Carpet Curvy Fashion Recap: The big winner on the red carpet for me this year has to be Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji. The dress is beautiful and elegant but also whimsical enough to make her look young, in a very good way.
Jennifer Hudson and Queen Latifah looked great.
Adele went back to her usual safe color and silhouette, we saw her venture out of her comfort zone for the Grammy’s but she’s back to the black. Tried and true, safe but it works. Maybe she didn’t want too much attention after that whole sex tape rumor this week.
And the biggest loser and probably top contender for many worst dressed lists tomorrow is Melissa McCarthy. I hate the look. It’s too big for her. She loves this whole drape thing. She’s gorgeous she shouldn’t have to hide her body in these awful baggy and draped looks.

I'm going to vegas next month but i'm not really one for heels and dresses, what are some good outfits for the Vegas night life?

This is a good question. Packing for Vegas can be intimidating, because literally EVERY girl you see is wearing short tight body con dresses and sky high heels. You can wear lux leggings think leather leggings or mixed media leggings with a dressy top or a peplum top to add to the dressy feel. If you don’t want to wear heels you can always wear flats, no sandals or flip flops though because you’ll have a hard time getting into most places. You can wear something simple and make it dressy with the accessories. Hope this helps.
