I get this question often. There’s no sure way or formula to follow to become a successful, or even employed model. Sometimes you can be riding the subway and get discovered other times you’ll go to a million go sees before someone finally says yes. So my advice would be first and foremost have a professional portfolio, meaning professional quality photos. Then look for agencies that have a plus size division. You can also send pictures to Torrid they take model submissions and there’s always contest looking for the next model popping up everywhere so be on the look out for those.
I hate my birthday. I know, I know, but let me explain. Every year when mid January hits I start getting really excited for my birthday, I am filled with genuine hope that this year will be spectacular and amazing and better than last year. As the day gets closer and closer I start getting more and more disillusioned. It doesn’t help that I have a 1st of the month, beginning of the year birthday and everyone including myself is turnt all the way down and broke. The older you get the less important birthdays become, people, including family members don’t even remember unless Facebook tells them, and by the time Facebook notifies them it’s too late for them to pencil you in. So I end up celebrating in my pajamas, listening to my traditional birthday song with a bottle of Dom Pérignon like the last 2 birthdays (Hey, I didn’t say I wasn’t classy).
In a perfect world, birthdays wouldn’t suck. With each year we’d achieve the necessary amount of maturity but after say 25, we wouldn’t age physically. In said perfect world, I would get flowers in the morning with a card from a handsome man saying “Happy Birthday Beautiful”. I’d get everything on my birthday wishlist wrapped beautifully, because the wrapping matters just as much as what’s inside. But since this is not a perfect world all I can do is lust virtually over all the things I won’t get.
My favorite flowers. Pink roses or pink tulips.
I just want to get my nails done with some ridiculous over the top nail art for no other reason than it being my birthday.
The Queen Bee Mug
To keep with recent tradition.
Sneakers! Shoes! Everyday is a good day to get shoes!
I want to go to Disneyland!
I love birthday cards. I’m a sucker for a cute card.
