2013 Oscar Red Carpet Curvy Fashion Recap: The big winner on the red carpet for me this year has to be Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji. The dress is beautiful and elegant but also whimsical enough to make her look young, in a very good way.
Jennifer Hudson and Queen Latifah looked great.
Adele went back to her usual safe color and silhouette, we saw her venture out of her comfort zone for the Grammy’s but she’s back to the black. Tried and true, safe but it works. Maybe she didn’t want too much attention after that whole sex tape rumor this week.
And the biggest loser and probably top contender for many worst dressed lists tomorrow is Melissa McCarthy. I hate the look. It’s too big for her. She loves this whole drape thing. She’s gorgeous she shouldn’t have to hide her body in these awful baggy and draped looks.
Adele is allegedly in talks with Burberry’s creative director about a possible collaboration on a plus size line. Vogue UK is spilling the tea, saying Burberry is interested in having Adele work with the brand to develop a bespoke line for plus size women.
Now I’m sure you can tell by all the alledgedly’s and supposedly’s in the paragraph above that neither Burberry nor Adele have confirmed the rumors. Could this be Adele’s first major project post baby? I personally think it’s true, and by that I mean I am closing my eyes tight and wishing upon a million stars that it is.
Rumors have been circulating around the fashion industry that come March none other than Adele would be on the cover of VOGUE. The rumors started when Ana Wintour reportedly started asking designers to submit pieces in a size 14. Which lead everyone to believe that Ana would put Adele on the cover.
I have been waiting patiently to see if the rumors were true and alas THEY ARE! Like I knew they would be.
This morning Roozlynnaa tweeted this picture.
I think this is the best comeback Adele can have for Mr. Lagerfeld’s comments, but that’s a story for another time.
