If you take a quick look through my blog it’s pretty evident that I’ve been absent from well blogging. Why? The short answer, life. I’ve been caught up in working my 9 to 5 job and trying to be a functioning adult and it’s kicking my ass. I’ve been lacking inspiration. Although blogging is a very solitary activity I’ve found in the past that I get the most inspired when I’m around like minded individuals who understand what I do and why I do it. The Latina Lifestyle Bloggers Conference has been that major source of inspiration I’ve needed in the past.
If you’ve never been or heard of blogger conferences let me tell you about this one and why I love it. The Latina Lifestyle Bloggers Conference focuses on teaching you how to push yourself to utilize your talents to their maximum potential and share them with the world through blogging.
The inspiration part comes when creative, driven enthusiastic women from all over the United States and Canada come together in one room to learn and motivate each other. Fashion, lifestyle, food, travel and beauty bloggers are all welcomed to come learn and share tips on how to take your blogging and writing to the next level.
This year the panels and sessions will be jammed packed with information like every year. There will be industry leaders, celebrity stylist, and indie designers all leading sessions. Oh and The Curvy Fashionista, Marie Denee will also be speaking at the conference!
So join me as I get my inspiration back! Get your ticket HERE, oh and the ticket comes with TWO swag bags, lunch for both days, and an awesome VIP kick off reception, oh not to mention one on one time with major brands looking to work with bloggers.
Check out the agenda HERE oh and psssst…use code LASTFLASH for a major discount. See you there!
I was lucky enough to be one of two bloggers selected by Macy’s to participate in their Spring Trends TV segment on Univision’s morning talk show LANZATE. I was given the chance to style a spring look featuring the latest trends from a plus size perspective.
We all know how hard it can be to find trendy plus size pieces so with this look I focused on showing how you can take a basic piece from your closet and incorporate the seasons hottest colors to create a look that is on trend. I started with a Marc by Marc Jacobs neutral colored asymmetrical dress, layered a Bar III neon colored crop top and a coral leather belt to add a spring feel. Although this is a plus size look all the clothes are straight sized, the reason I am sharing this with you all is to show you that there are options outside of the plus size section so don’t ever feel limited. Explore all the options.
Here’s my outfit:
Top: Bar III (*exclusively at Macy’s)
Shoes: Steve Madden
Bag: Steve Madden
*All the pieces I am wearing can be found at Macy’s
Big thanks to Macy’s and Latina Lifestyle Bloggers
